1980 - Wins the Scottish Schools Excellence in Recitation of Burns Poetry at age 11

1985-1987 - Studies theatre acting in Edinburgh under the direction of Hugh and Frances Patterson. Theatre performances include the plays:

1992 - First appears in theatrical costume as Robert Burns. Over the next 10 years is recognised as one of the world's leading Burns performers.

1999 - Wins Best Theatrical Act at a theatrical showcase in Scarborough, England, for his interpretation of the life of Robert Burns.

2002 - Develops, writes and performs in the film, Robert Burns Live.

2003 - Robert Burns Live DVD released in the UK and North America. Film produced by Screenedge.com and distributed by MVD Distributors (USA).

2006 - Appears in the BBC TV programme 'Cooking Up Burns'.
